How very exciting! In 10 days we will be climbing on board a plane and leaving our familiar surroundings. We will be on adventure that we will all remember for the rest of our lives. Charlie and Felicia have gone ahead and will meet us in Rome. We have a few things still to do to get ready. Have you packed to see what exactly you are bringing? Did you remember a swimsuit? So much excitement ahead.

Here is a sample of what we look forward to. St. Peter's Basilica. The courtyard in front can hold 1 million people! How is that for scale? Soon we will fill this blog with youth observations, reflection and photos. I can almost taste the pizza already.
